House Number Numerology

House number numerology is the science, psychology and philosophy of numbers when related to the complete first line of your address.
Everything in life has a vibration, a frequency to which it resonates. This includes all your property and your home.

The address or more importantly the first line of your address (as that is how your address is mostly referred to in everyday conversations) vibrates at a certain frequency denoting qualities of that number onto your home.

So all you need to do is add up the complete first line of your address including the actual house number to come up with the single digit number for your home. (Remembering not to reduce the master numbers of 11 and 22 any further)

So what does your personal house number numerology mean?

Number 1
This is a good place to live if you're after a fresh start. Ideal, also if you are single.
If you are in a partnership, you may have to spend some time alone in the house due to your partner's work commitments.

Number 2
This is a good place for females.
If male, look out for deception from females and/or don't deceive a female as you'll definitely be found out here!
If the occupants of this house live positively, then this house number bodes well for relationships.
Number 3
A lovely number to have for creating a happy household.
There will be much fun and laughter.
Communication will flow easily between everyone.
The only word of warning is to be aware of over-friendly/ interfering neighbours.

Number 4
An excellent home to settle in.
Expect to live here for a long time; you may even have inherited it in the first place.
Traditional styles and furniture will suit this property.
The upkeep of the property is important so make sure that any work done is 'above board' and carried out to completion.

Number 5
Tensions may run high in this household. That said, it's still a good house number in numerology to have.
You should feel free and unrestricted here and at best, have spells of good luck too.

Number 6
This is the number of the home and domesticity so you can't get much better!
You may decorate and re-decorate here, more than at any other home.
Any issues between a family will be forced to the surface and have to be dealt with, but surely that's a good thing?

Number 7
This is an ideal home to work from.
A lot of studying and decision-making will go on within these four walls.
Projects will eventually be completed but not as quickly or in the way you expected them to.

Number 8
If you live your life positively then you'll accumulate a lot of money here, or the house itself will be a good investment.
The house'll cry out for the best of everything.
If negativity creeps in then there'll be financial losses or negative equity- so beware!
Number 9
This property would be best split into flats rather than be used as a family home.
If it is a family home then the occupants will find themselves spending a lot of time in separate rooms from each other.
It is a good property for a female to work from home from.

Number 11
This is a high tension number.
You will know when the phone's going to ring and who's about to knock on the door.
Prophetic dreams are likely here.
Any occult or spiritual work or study would be successful here.

Number 22
Another high tension number.
Also, you should expect to live here for some considerable time.
The same aspects apply as for the number 11, plus some likelihood of restriction in one way or another.

So now you know all about the place you call home.
What if it doesn't fit in with your plans?
That's easy! Just add a numerologically sympathetic house name to the first line of your address and then you'll have the house number numerology of your dreams.

History of Numerology

How long have you got?

Where to start?

Firstly I don't believe that Numerology was actually known as Numerology until the late 19th/20th Century so the history of Numerology becomes a history of so much more!
Indeed, the use of numbers is one of the oldest metaphysical forms of communication that still exists and is relevant in today's sophisticated world.

When early civilizations needed to identify themselves, and in effect 'wanted to be counted' they choose a symbol to represent this.

This was the beginning of the number 1.
A symbol to represent man. Notice his head and feet.
Then as time went by and civilizations grew, there was a need for differentiation, hence the numbers 2 & 3.

2, a symbol to represent more than one. Notice the bigger feet of two and larger rounded head denoting two beings.
And so on.

Then as civilizations grew even more; ownership, particularly of land came into question. But how much land? The answer was to measure it and so Geometry was born. 'Geo' meaning earth or land and 'metry' meaning measurement.

The number 4 which can also be written as was then born to split land into divisions of ownership. And so on.

Over 10,000 years ago there was a group of people called the Chaldeans who, not surprisingly came from a place called Chaldea (also known as Sumeria) in Mesopotamia.
No-one can yet conclusively prove how the human race came into being. Therefore we have to rely on religious and metaphysical theories and explanations.

One explanation being that Chaldea was where the beginnings of Western civilization happened.
It is also widely believed that the Chaldeans origins were not human but from the Divine. (Not too difficult to believe as Christianity also claims that Adam and Eve were not of human origin either)

The mission of these people was to spread hidden or Divine knowledge to mankind.
They were obviously a very Spiritual people who saw no discrimination between Spirituality, Astrology or Numerology. Every part of their life revolved around their Spiritual beliefs. Hence, using numbers in a spiritual way will have been an everyday occurrence to them.

They understood that the Universe & everything in it, in its purest form is energy. Therefore they understood that numbers were part of the energy of creation & that they too had their own vibrations.

These numbers therefore had meaning and could be understood.

They gave meaning to numbers via the use of sound (more vibration). In their system they only used the numbers 1-8 as they felt that the number 9 was far too sacred for mankind.
From these beginnings & as history unfolds we understand that Pythagoras took up these findings and explored & experimented further.

He proposed that all reality is mathematical and that therefore everything can be converted to a mathematical formula in order to give anything a meaning.

Hence; why, as Numerologists we convert names into a numerical form.

He also investigated the vibrational & hence numerical significance of sound which in turn led to him studying music. Through his investigations he started to 'measure' music & this is how the musical scales came into being.

Very little is actually known about Pythagoras's teaching as he taught everything verbally.
He did not allow anything to be written done as he felt that the information was too powerful & sacred to be written down in case it got into the wrong hands.

That said, later on his mathematical theories were taught as beliefs as part of High School geometry and still are today. But I bet you that your Maths teacher had also lost the sacred significance, I know mine had!

It was all down to one of Pythagoras's Pythagorean students who, at a later date wrote down all that he'd learned under Pythagoras's tuition. So it is he that we have to thank for continuing access to the science, psychology & philosophy of numbers.

Plato was very interested in Pythagoras's work and he felt that what he learned from Pythagoras was underpinned by the word of the Jewish Kabala. Adding more and more credence to the subject of what was to later become known as Numerology.

The early Christians also used Numbers & during the Renaissance there is also evidence that the spirituality of number was accepted & used widely.

Concentrating on times nearer to our own, it was a woman called Dr Julia Seton who first coined the phrase Numerology. She was born in 1862 & died in 1950 and during her life lectured her way around the world twice explaining the physics and Ancient wisdom behind numbers & Numerology.

And so we come to the present day when more and more people are discovering Numerology and how it can inspire them to develop their full potential.
With the understanding of who we are and who we have the potential to become we can all become more content, tolerant and happy people which in turn will make for a happier and peaceful

The Meanings Of The Numbers In Numerology

There are many different aspects to a numerological chart. The two main calculations for numerology are the Lifepath Number- derived from the birth date- and the Destiny Number- derived from the full birth name. But there are other readings and they all have one thing in common- the numbers that make numerology what it is.
The numbers 1 through 9 and the master numbers of 11 and 22 are the only ones used in numerology. And they have the same basic traits behind them no matter what calculation is being done. Knowing the positive and negative aspects of each number can make understanding a numerology chart a lot easier.
The positive aspects of the number 1 include an adventurous spirit, leadership abilities, independence, individualistic, strength of will, courage and determination. It is the sign of goal oriented business leaders. The negative traits of the number 1 include becoming dominating, impulsive, boastful, egotistic, willful and too assertive.

The number 2 has the positive aspects of consideration, cooperation, sensitivity, adaptability, mediation, sincerity, modesty and diplomacy. The negative aspects to the number 2 include self consciousness, depression, shyness, fear, timidity and inability to focus on details.
The number 3 carries the positive traits of self expression, imagination, inspiration, artistic abilities, insight, optimism, happiness, enjoyment and verbalization. The negative aspects of the number 3 include exaggeration, moodiness, trouble finding direction, inability to finish projects and selfishness.

The number 4 has the positive traits of morality, practicality, logic, orientation towards details, achieving, organization, and management. The negatives associated with the number 4 include stubbornness, argumentative, overly serious, confusion, and locked onto details.
The positive traits for the number 5 include having visionary notions, expansive and fast thinking, versatility, curiosity, resourcefulness and capable of action. The negative aspects of the number 5 include restlessness, dissatisfaction, hastiness, impatience, lack of application and an edgy manner of behavior.

The number 6 has the positive traits of nurture, responsibility, communication, sympathy, balance, humanitarianism, generosity, domesticity and helpfulness. The negative aspects of the number 6 are stubbornness, dominant behavior, egotism, outspokenness, obstinacy, and self righteousness.

The number 7 has the positive traits of analytical thought, research ability, intelligence, invention, mediation, charm, introspection, perfectionism and inner peace. The negatives of the number 7 include isolation, easily distracted, suspicious, secretive, reservation and passive aggression.

The positive aspects of the number 8 include political abilities, authority, power, achievement, judicial thinking and the ability to command. The negative aspects of the number 8 are overworking, cutthroat ambition, carelessness with financials, dominating those under them, impatience, stress and materialism.

The positive aspects of the number 9 are friendliness, congeniality, humanitarianism, generosity, selflessness, and creative abilities. The negative aspects of the number 9 include egotism, scattered thoughts, moodiness, mismanagement of money, need for attention and possessiveness.

The master numbers of 11 and 22 are mostly characterized by the traits of the number that they would be reduced to (2 and 4). But they serve to super charge those characteristics. With the number 11, the aspects of 2 have more spirituality behind them. With the number 22, the aspects of 4 will be bolstered by the ability to succeed at any project, no matter how exceptional.

The Year 2012 And Numerology

The Year 2012 A Time to Change, I wrote about the Mayan prophecies and the need for global adjustment. The aim of this piece is to provide some detail about the year in question.
Numerology describes 2012 as a five year, a number that invariably brings change, possibly of an unusualor unexpected nature. It would therefore be wise to adopt a flexible stance. The existing order receives a shake up from fresh elements, entering and breathing new life into stagnant conditions. A freedom of thought and movement becomes possible but only on condition that the necessary hard work and organisation was carried out during the previous year.

Restlessness leads to increased travel and communications are high on the agenda as this is a time for contact on all levels. Choices, decisions, and temptations confront one and all throughout this entire period consequently, a slow approach will need to be taken when weighing up options. Impulsive actions, financial and otherwise, are to be avoided.
An air of uncertainty will be prevalent in key situations.

The two two's in the year will reinforce the feminine principal and bring about the need for gentleness, tact and diplomacy in order to harmonise the heightened sensitivities that will be uppermost throughout the year. Challenges directed at our capacity to coexist will occur, and any offence given will result in long-term enmity between the parties concerned. The events that transpire in 2012 will require a strong sense of cooperation, between nations and individuals if we are to maintain good relations with each other and furthermore if we are to collaborate successfully in handling any impending crises. The number two often creates indecision when important judgments have to be made or emergencies need to be dealt with. The Zero in 2012should be construed as raw potential from which anything can come into being. Our thoughts and actions will naturally steer our course ahead.

The One digit moves to a more commanding position in the year number. This means that the Millennium will have inherited a driving force that will impel it forwards. The One is assertive, original, dominant, aggressive and self-centred so an arrogant streak is to be expected in the year causing leaders to feel that they are right irrespective of any facts to the contrary. An ambitious attitude will produce a tendency to make a display of ones abilities that is likely to cause friction on an international level.

We can draw the following conclusions from the information at hand.

The Olympics are to be held in London, England in 2012. Five interlocking rings represent the Olympic symbol and the numerological number for London is two. The final preparations and organisational work should be carried out during 2011 but the Olympics may not be ready on schedule largely due to overconfidence, a laid back approach and misrepresentations regarding available funds. The final cost will substantially exceed the budget. A diplomatic incident involving at least one female can be expected at the sports for some of the reasons that I have outlined in the article body.

Headlines in 2012 will describe two major vehicle collisions. This will be a time to travel with extreme caution, as there will be a tendency to speed and to be unprepared for the unexpected.
Large fires, earthquakes and volcanic activity are presaged mainly due to the influence of the two as it is responsible for fires, as well as ruptures and divisions in the earths crust.
Impulsive and overconfident decisions will cause vital errors of judgement in the financial sector.
The two wants peace and mediation but human nature will cause restlessness to become social unrest. We can expect a period of turmoil during the year.

Unwise leadership coupled with overweening ambition will initiate the 'rattling of sabres' between East and West.

Misunderstandings aside, difficulty in communications will arise on both human and technical levels.

We will not be aware of much that is taking place behind closed doors in government and deceptive acts are likely to take place.

These are just a few indications of what can be expected during 2012. The outcome of events will, I feel sure, bring about a change in perception and values for the future. There is no reason for anxiety as this will be a turning point where old gives way to the new. We have travelled a long road in our evolution and 2012 should be considered as another step forwards.
