buySAFE’s Shopping Advisor

Unless you have been under a rock for the last few years, you would know that everyone is starting to use the internet. This is great, because that is what it is here for, to make our lives easier. However, you still have to be careful when you are out there giving out your personal information. You have to know what to look out for and how to avoid the scams. The number one things you have to do when you are online is keep yourself save, and if you can do that then you will have a great time shopping online.

First of all, never give out any of your information through email. Do not give out your address, phone number, or credit card numbers through email. This is because no real company will ever ask you to give out your information through email. This goes for passwords and account numbers as well.

I shop for airline tickets online. This is cheapest and most convenient way of buying my tickets. Besides this I may stand to enjoy some special offers and promotions on a first come first serve basis. Buying from agents would incur additional fees.I use Ebay for both bying and selling items. I find Ebay as an easy way to track down hard to find items. There are alot of items (particularly collectables) that are hard to find in shops no matter where you are, and Ebay allows the item to come into your home with very little hassle.
First time I used ebay, I felt a little bit daunted by it all, but it soon becomes addicting and there have been many times that I have gotten up at some inhumane hour just to ensure that I have the winning bid, getting the adrenaline pumping. That is an experience that you cant get from shopping in the streets.
However, for everyday items, I find that nothing beats browsing the shopping centres, however for specific items, if you know exactly what you want, then nothing could beat Ebay!
I am yet to have a bad experience on it. :)
